Code of Conduct
Towards fellow TGRAD
—TGRAD works on a naive idea: that if you help your fellow TGRADs, they'll help you back. Volunteer. Be the first to step up and help out. Cover someone's back. TGRAD is living proof that what goes around really does come back around.
—Make money, turn a profit, but don't rip each other off. No one's saying you shouldn't price like you want or make money for your time, but the guy you hose over might be the one who has to decide what he wants to risk to protect YOU later.
—If you have a problem with someone's actions, talk to one of the corp leaders. If not them, talk to Mark or Ronan. If not them, talk to Manas directly. He doesn't bite. Often.
Towards non-TGRADs
—If you have a good reason to shoot someone and it's within ROE, shoot them. Don't hesitate. If you have a chance and a good reason to show mercy, don't hestitate to do that, either. That doesn't mean let a red go - but it might mean letting an orangebox newbie who's ratting in a back system go if he heads straight for the gate. Follow the ROE, but use good sense. TGRAD is well-known for being good guys.
—Be the good guy whenever possible. Help out, and don't be afraid to take a chance to help someone you don't know. TGRAD has made more than a few friends, allies, and recruited more than a few names because of that policy.
EVE-O, SHC Forums
—Remember that you DO represent us, and things you say on any forum can come back to haunt us. Wars in-game have started over less. Think when you post, and don't let a forum troll bait you.
—There is one forum we do ask that people please steer clear from posting in: the CAOD (Corporation, Alliance, and Organization Discussion) forum. That's a place where leaders and representatives are kind of supposed to be doing the talking, and where the trolls hang out in big, thick packs. Let's let the Corp Leaders deal with the quagmire - post in other places, unless you're very sure of what you're saying and why. (And even then, think twice.) We're not demanding it, or setting a firm rule about it; just asking.
Corp/Alliance EvEmail
—Quadruple check if you actually want people getting your message before you send it - otherwise, use the forums. Alliance mail is for important messages of some urgency only.
Chat Channels
—We have no problem with anyone talking in local, but we do have a problem with smack. Smack is loosely defined as antagonistic, chest-beating, mocking, "in your face," taunting, "sour grapes," or any other needlessly abusive behavior. You represent us - bear that in mind, please.
—We have no problem with cordial conversations in local with people who aren't TGRAD - and that includes our enemies. Chat it up if you like, but remember to never discuss intel there.
—Did we mention no vulgarity, sexist/racist comments, or needless crudity? TGRAD has a very wide range of age/race/class/etc, so let's avoid pointless attempts at offending, eh?
Vent/TS
—Voice-activated microphones make baby Jesus cry. Push to talk only please.
—Please watch your language here. Not everyone has headphones, and someone hollering #!R%!$%!#$!!!!! when their ship dies can go right to a sweet innocent three year old's brain. Not cool. VERY not cool.
—When entering a busy channel, please listen for a moment and make sure you're not about to utter, "HEY GUYS! WHAT"S UP" right into the middle of a highly stressful operation. If it's dead quiet with 40 people in the channel, chances are something's going on and Combat Comms is in effect.
